After listening to this sermon I don't need to make New Year resolution/s. I will try and go back to the sermon to keep reminding myself why I don't need resolution/s. Thank you.

Yes, St Paul says in 2 Corinthians 13:5

Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test! ie. if we are 'in Christ' then we can live through Him, through His life in us in the power of the Spirit. That's supernatural, and it's less burdensome than resolutions. Jesus promised: Matthew 11:28-30 Come to me, all who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

When things don't go as I expected it or wanted it to go I lose faith. Should I then make resolution/s? Or see God in Creation, Job 42:1-6?
